Rehearsal Schedule and Meeting Notice

Our first rehearsal meeting will take place February 15th, from 3p-6p when we will hand out the scripts to the primary cast (to be posted at 6pm Monday).  This will be a simple "read-thru" to get acquainted with the play.

From that day on until the show performances (April 27-28) there will be rehearsals every Sunday from 2pm-6pm, and Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm (with a few exceptions).

We will hold a critical parent meeting on February 26th (along with regular rehearsal) to gather Genesian Player club dues (fee to be posted next week) and sign-up volunteers for critical support positions: Props, Set Construction, Tech Assistance, Make-up, Wardrobe, Sales, Promotion, Party Planning, and Cast Discipline.  We NEED as much help as you can provide.  Alice In Wonderland is a funny and weird play that'll demand awesome costumes and sets.  Remember, time donated is time towards the Holy Family volunteer requirement... and it's a blast too.

There's much more to discuss that will be explained at the parent meeting on the 26th.  If you cannot attend, PLEASE contact me (leave a comment below and I'll get right back to you) and I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the auditions.   Our team of judges were fun, and just a bit mad (as in crazy)... just like everyone will be after the show is all done. :-)

Auditions Announcment

It has been decreed that the Alice In Wonderland auditions shall take place in the PLC of Holy Family Church on: Saturday, January 28th, from Noon 'til 4pm.  Registration begins at 11am, and in the words of the White Rabbit, "The earlier you arrive, the earlier you may leave.

Please prepare a 2 minute monologue or about 12~16 bars of a song you enjoy singing.  If you do not know what to do/sing/perform, we will provide a sheet of dialog and song for you.

Remember - though this is for the Red Queen, we of the auditioning committee are not to be feared.  We are looking for enthusiastic happy-go-lucky kids who want to have fun - be not afraid.

Calling

Hello fellow Wonderlandians. It has been decreed that all subjects interested in performing for the Red Queen (and who wouldn't!) should plan on attending an open call for actors, dancers, singers, and jesters.  This event shall take place the following Saturday, Jan. 28, from 10am~2pm at a soon to be disclosed place (we will send out a reminder that includes where this will be held at Holy Family).

All performers should prepare a 2 minute monolog (unless you have 2 heads, then you can perform a stereolog), or a 2~3 minute song and/or dance.  You do not have to perform anything from Alice In Wonderland, just have something you are familiar and comfortable performing/speaking.

If you have some extraordinary reason you cannot attend but desperately wish to participate, please contact the Mad Hatter to see if he can arrange an exception for a different time (circumstances must be truly extraordinary, please).

We (Mad Hatter, Alice, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, and White Queen) look forward to seeing all of your wide smiles (and perhaps just the smiles) next Saturday January 28th at 10am.  And please, do not drink anything that says, "Quick - drink me!"  We only have so much room for our cast at their regular sizes.

“We’re all mad here!” – Cheshire Cat

...and so the White Queen has decreed - that the subjects of the land shall perform:
"Alice in Wonderland" for all to revel.  Anyone not reveling will dealt with severely.

All interested in auditioning as jesters, sidekicks, minions, and the ilk should prepare a short monologue, song, dance, or skit for the amusement of the Queen's advocates.  We will announce the days of the auditions when we feel like it, so be alert!

And remember - always keep track of the time... and watch out for the rabbit hole.

This document is Queen of Hearts approved.

When Lou the UPS Guy arrives with invitations from the Kingdom of Wychwood-under-Ooze, Cinderella and Bob are both thrilled but forbidden to attend the festivities. With the help of the Fairy Godmother, the Godfather (he ain't no fairy!), two enchanted gerbils and a lot of luck, they find a way! On the night that Cinderella crashes Princess Petunia's birthday ball, Bob has similar designs on Prince Percy's kingdom-wide baseball game. When the two strangers disappear at midnight after Cinderella hits a game winning homerun, the search is on to find the feet that fit the glass slipper and the muddy cleat! A hilarious send-up of "Cinderella," Twinderella will delight actors and audiences alike with humor for all ages!
