Upcoming Rehearsals
Hi Everyone!
Our next rehearsal isn't until Tuesday, January 22nd from 7-8AM, and again immediately after school. We will start a FULL RUN THROUGH in my classroom at 3:10 sharp. Otherwise, we cannot get through the entire show. Our costume, makeup, and music department heads will be in attendance to make notes about quick changes, and which songs would benefit most from a little vocal tuning. We will NOT use any costume pieces, and it will be your job to arrive early enough to preset any rehearsal props you have been using in rehearsals up to this point.
Here are things you all need to think about before Tuesday:
1. Where do I enter from in scene ____?
2. What is my choreography in _________ song?
3. Going over your lines with someone at home (they should be very picky about your lines! Word for word.) This includes song lyrics!
4. This song happens just a minute or so after ___________. (in short, review your script and know your cues!)
5. Listening to the music and practicing your singing and choreography at home.
I know you all have a group chat, and most of you have exchanged numbers. As you start asking yourselves these questions this week(end), call, text, whatever each other if you don't know the answers to some of these questions. Somebody has to know! If you don't know choreography for a song (we have rehearsed ALL of them at this point), you must ask someone for your choreography before Tuesday's run. I am emailing your parents the Scene by Scene breakdown of the cast list, updated as a result of attendance at rehearsals this week. Use that to contact whoever you need to get caught up and refresh your memory.
We open in 15 days.
We have reached the point in this process when you must start taking ownership of this production. After our final dress rehearsal, I will officially hand this show over to you and tell you that it is yours, and only yours! However, you cannot wait until then to be independent of me and your cast mates.
If you are in Knights of the Round Table (Camelot), I expect you to know the choreography in the video I posted earlier today. You can do it! Yes, it will take some time, but you will be so proud of yourself when you perform on that stage, dancing in a way you never thought you could!
The work you are doing is great, and this show has so much potential! But you make the show; it doesn't just happen. If you're in, I need you to be all in.

Shoes
Please bring any black, closed toe shoes, you have with you to rehearsal. We're trying to determine what shoes everyone should wear, and would like to avoid asking you to buy specific shoes if necessary. The more of you who bring in multiple pairs of shoes and present us with many options, the more likely that will be. Boots, sneakers, heels, flats, and dress shoes are all good. Thank you!

Saturday Rehearsal
Hi everyone!
It's January- crunch time! We've managed to avoid weekend rehearsals up until this point, but it's time we started with some. That being said, we'll rehearse in my classroom this Saturday from 8:30-11:30 AM with anyone who is in "Fisch Schlapping Song" and "Not Yet Dead." Please come dressed in clothes you can move in, and sneakers.
I'll be posting a calendar of 75% of our remaining rehearsals in the coming days. Please print it in color and hang it on your fridge at home!

If you'd like the blog to send you email updates when I post rehearsal schedules, enter your email address in the box on the right side of the screen. I will not be emailing rehearsal schedules.

Cast, Crew, Parents,
Thursday, we will perform a dress rehearsal in the morning. We'll have a partial audience comprised of a small group of students from each grade level and we hope they go back to their classes and tell them how great their preview was and encourage everyone to come see the show. Our students also have the privilege of meeting and listening to Pamela Winslow Kashani who played Rapunzel in the Original Broadway production of Into the Woods with Bernadette Peters! Afterwards, we plan to use some of the remaining time to rehearse things that need more work before we open tomorrow night. Can you believe it?! That being said, please plan to pick up your student at the PLC at 1PM.
We'll be posting call times for cast and crew later today after we have a better idea of how long set up will take before the show.
