Wizard Of Oz Auditions UPDATE

Just to be clear, membership in the Holy Family Genesian Players is limited to middle school students of HFCS (6th-8th graders). We apologize that point was not communicated in the school bulletin that went out.  For those younger students interested in the club, please come see the Wizard of Oz in April, and get ready to join the club when you enter the 6th grade!

We look forward to seeing our middle school students this Saturday, any time between 1 and 3pm in the PLC  (plan to spend about 15 minutes in the audition).  Remember, you need only prepare about 30 seconds of a song.  You'll be asked to read from teh script and join other students in singing part of a song from the show.

 OR, if you want to be in the chorus, there will be a brief meeting for chorus members at 3pm.

And The Winner Is... The Great and Powerful Oz!

Merry Christmas and thanks to all who voted on the play options.  We are just waiting for confirmation from New York that we have the license to the show, but that should happen soon.  So get your green clothing ready fellow Ozians!

Next up is AUDITIONS on Saturday, January 12th from 1-3pm in the Parish Life Center.  This is for students who are interested in auditioning for a LEAD PART in the play.  In other words, if you want to have a speaking part on stage, we want you to audition.  This would include the characters of DOROTHY, SCARECROW, TIN MAN,THE LION, GLENDA THE GOOD WITCH, THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST, THE WIZARD, AUNTIE EM, UNCLE HENRY, TOTO, etc.

If you are planning to be in the chorus of the play, you do not have to audition.  But we would like you to come at 3pm on January 12th  for a sign up and short information session.  This means if you are interested in being a MUNCHKIN,  FLYING MONKEY, A GUARD, A CITIZEN OF OZ etc. come to the 3pm session.  Some of these parts may have a single line or two, but we will assign these during rehearsals.

Hello!  we are excited about our upcoming production for 2013!  We need you to vote for the play you'd like to perform.  Please use the voting box on the side of the page to vote.  Please vote only once and vote by this coming Friday, December 14th, before 5pm.

The play receiving the most votes will be the one we will try to license for the spring.
