Let The Rehearsals Begin

Dear Parents and Students,

A big THANK YOU to everyone who auditioned for parts or came to the ensemble meeting yesterday. We're so proud of our students. It took Brains, Heart, and Courage to go on stage and audition for a role and our kids did just that.

Our guest casting directors spent quite a while coming up with their recommendations and were impressed with the talent they saw. They asked us to remind you that every role is a starring role, and is important to tell our story. Please keep keep that in mind if you are cast in a role you may not have auditioned for. We are counting on you to make this show a success!

Here are a few notes on the first rehearsals:

· Friday 1.18.13, CREW MEETING (UPDATED TIME AS OF 1.15.13) 3:00pm to 3:30pm in the Art Room with Ms. Sell-Dane) For all students interested in being a part of the Crew

· Sunday 1.20.13 2:00-4:00pm Read Through (Needed: Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Professor/Wizard, Glinda , Wicked Witch, Uncle Henry, Aunt Em, Toto)

· Wednesday, 1.23.13 2:30pm – 4:30pm, Scenes 1 & 2 (Needed: Dorothy, Uncle Henry, Aunt Em, Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch, Professor Marvel) Meet Mrs. Montz outside the7th grade pod and you'll walk over the the theater as a group.

· Sunday 1.27.13 (Needed: ALL CAST AND CREW to Take Genesian Players Yearbook Photo. Club Dues are DUE: $25 per student (Make checks payable to HFCS)

o 1:30 -2:00 ALL Pay Dues and Take Yearbook Photo;

o 2:00 -5:00 Scene 4 (Needed: Munchkins, Dorothy, Glinda, Toto, Lullaby League, Lollipop Guild, Barrister, Mayor, Munchkin #1, Munchkin #2, City Father, Wicked Witch, Coroner)
